Since 2004 Pro Latisana has joined the national community service. The association has taken 8 volunteers so far, whose help was important for the organisation of many events. Goals of the different events were:

- The promotion and development of activities in favour of the local population;
- The touristic promotion of the land.

The titles of the projects realized are:

- SCN year 2003-2004 – the rainbow of history and of the Italian cultural tourism;
- SCN year 2004-2005 - History, tourism, craft;
- SCN year 2005-2006 – Tourism in the small and big centres of the Basso Friuli Pt.1
- SCN year 2006-2007 – Tourism in the small and big centres of the Basso Friuli Pt.2

What is the national community service?

The national community service is alternative to the obligatory military service and it offers an opportunity to help the people in need of the community. It is intended to strengthen the senses of civic engagement and community but it is also a means to enter the world of work; as a matter of fact volunteers earn 433,80 € per month
