More than 21% of the productivity in Latisana regards the agricultural activity: our country is characterized by an enterpreneurs that, although it is small, is of value. There are many farms and wineries which yield a wide selection of products: cold cuts, cheese, choice wine, fruits and vegetables.

Walking in the countryside, it is reccomended to have a break at these farms, mainly characterized by a familiar management, to be in contact with Nature and animals and to realize that the hard work of the land permits to gain profits.
Moreover has to be admired the orchards, the vegetable gardens cultivated respecting both the natural cycles and the biorhythm of the plants and adopting different working methods with a low environmental impact, the honey harvesting, the cheese production and so on.
The owners use to welcome people offering a glass of wine and a testing of some typical local products. Besides, people also are in the position to buy genuine and top quality products directly at the farm stores.

Latisana is the mother of "Friuli Latisana" D.O.C. (Protected Designation of Origin) wine

The most famous agricultural activity in Latisana is the winery one, protected since 1975 by the Protected Designation of Origin "Friuli Latisana".
