Logotype

Logo Pro Latisana

The picture of the logo of Pro Latisana represents the two characteristic elements of the city: the Tagliamento River, which flows along the right side of Latisana, and the bell tower of the Cathedral dedicated to San Giovanni Battista, the most important church of the city. The blue spiral, which reminds the colour of the water, is a symbol of genesis for Latisana because the river has always been important for the development of the town. The circular motion represents the dynamic course of the river through the territory, but it also reminds us of the tragic floods which took place in the 60es that almost destroyed the city.
The second protagonist of the logo is the bell tower of the Cathedral: according to the Italian tradition churches are the most expressive symbols of a city, and every city can be recognized by its church. Therefore the bell tower becomes the image of Latisana.
The logo of Pro Latisana has a simple form and it can be easily recognized by the local community.
